Welcome to the ‘Early Diagnosis and Primary Care’ section of the Academy – supporting the NHS Long Term Plan’s ambition for 75% of cancers to be diagnosed early by 2028. Our education focuses on enhancing the skills of primary care professionals to recognise early signs of cancer and ensure timely referrals. Education here features Cancer Alliance work, and commissioned work delivered through GatewayC.

Supporting Ethnic Minorities and Screening

Working with The University of Manchester, Prevent Breast Cancer, Fatima Women’s Association and the Caribbean and African Health Network, the Alliance is pleased to present a series of four new films to help encourage Black and South Asian women to attend either breast cancer screening or visit their doctor with potential symptoms of breast cancer.
